In the current situation of Covid19, it impacts all of us regardless of social status. However, we cannot deny that those who are already struggling prior to this pandemic definitely suffer more compared to the rest of us. Losing loved ones to the virus is already a big test in itself, and those who are not as lucky might have even more on their plate if they could not afford to pay for funeral services for their deceased relatives.
Team Fardhu Kifayah (TFK) is an organisation that conducts funeral services free-of-charge. They provide services for all, regardless of the cause of death. Their team has been TFK also delivers bodies to all of Peninsular Malaysia. They work on the basis of donation from others, thus enabling them to provide their services for free. Donation to the organisation itself can be done through their website, https://teamfardhukifayah.org/ where you could also register to volunteer to their cause.
TFK previously ran with a Naza Ria as their van jenazah. However, the maintenance cost as well as the its old age are limiting the organisation's ability to provide service at their best. Therefore, Nur Jauhar is gifting a van for TFK's use.
To further support TFK and their noble efforts, Nur Jauhar is in collaboration with Peach Masri to raise funds for cost of modifying a Hyundai Starex into a van jenazah. Even though the van will be gifted to TFK, there is still the need for alterations before it could be properly used for funeral services. The cost is estimated to reach around RM15,000, which will be used to modify the interior of the vehicle as well as to install necessary systems and purchase required items to ease the service.
Nur Jauhar would appreciate your own contribution to this cause that will benefit so many of those in need. With a vehicle that is suited to their needs, TFK will be able to help more families.
The details for the van as well as the bank account where you can contribute are provided below.
The Hyundai Starex is a 12 seater van with 4 rows of seats. It measures a length of 5.1m and width of 1.9m. The size of the van is suitable to be used for the purpose of transporting bodies. The van has a 5-door minibus body and runs on Diesel. It is cost effective for long journey, which will make it efficient for delivery Peninsular-wide.

Alhamdulillah, the Hyundai Starex was successfully handed over to the founder of TFK, Ustaz Nur Azlan Azmi, on 6th June 2021 with Peach Masri present. An agreement of change of ownership was also signed between the owner of the Starex and TFK. Thank you to all that had contributed, the total amount of funds raised for the modification of the van reached RM21,988. This will greatly help TFK for vehicle modification as well as its maintenance.
Due to the Full Movement Control Order (FMCO) currently implemented in Malaysia, the relevant application to authorities for the modification of the vehicle into the van jenazah is delayed. However, TFK is already using the funds collected to repair the van as needed and it is currently in use to transport their team members for the funeral services while their Naza Ria will still be in use as their current van jenazah until the modification process can be done once FMCO is lifted.
